Sweden-Rock-Country! Hereīs an interview with Mannge, lead singer of Headplate, one of the freshiest and most powerful new rockbands of the North! Releasing their debut 'Pieces'... Headplate is ready to conquer the continent!
Read it!

and that's ::Headplate::
Danne G - Guitar
n1c - Drums
Mange - Vocals
Johan - Bass

Frk:  Do you think itīs difficult to grow up in Sweden as a musician?

Mange: No I think that Sweden is a pretty good place fore musicans. We got free music school
and people is pretty open about things the only problem is that it is too many bands and not
enough rehearsal spaces and too few places to do live performances.

Frk: The new record "Pieces" includes several songs from your last records "Bullsized" and
"Delicate". Do you think that makes the whole thing stronger? Is it to make new fans
    over Europe?

Mange: Pieces is compilation of Bullsized and Delicate made for release outside Sweden.
That’s it, a way to release both albums in one to everyone.

Frk:  What are your favourite bands, songs records?

Mange: I think you would get four different answers depending on who in the group you would
ask. But we all agree on Tool. Deftones and Machine head and after that it’s everything from
Primus to Busta Rhymes to Weezer and The Haunted

Frk: Today many kids just don't go to stores anymore and buy records. They are downloading
the music or copy the records! What's your opinion to this?

Mange: Well we think that people pay for the real copy if they really like the music.
Download is a good way to find new bands so it’s all good.

Frk:  If you had political power? What would you change?

Mange: Everyone had to obey me I would be a splendid dictator ;) The King of Sweden would
get a lot less money from the government. He is overpaid bigtime!

Frk:  Any musical sins in the past (ABBA, Whigfield etc.) ???

Mange: I think we all have bad records in our collections, but one of us has an album from inner
circle and that’s pretty bad I think?!

Frk: Have you ever made songs in Swedish? Or do you think that woulnīt be good idea for
    a musical career?

Mange: That would probably be a good idea but we haven’t made a song Swedish and we
    probably won’t do it either.

Frk:  Are there bands that make Swedish Rock or Metal?

Mange: Yea, you got LOK (r.i.p),  Sengaya (r.i.p)  and Abramis Brama and Iīm sure there
    are more...

Frk:  Will you come to Germany to play some shows or Summer-Festivals?

Mange: Nothing is booked but we hope to be there asap. Check www.headplate.com for
    info on that!

Frk:  What was the most exciting or craziest show you ever played?

Mange: That got to be Hultsfred Festival. We went on stage 02:30 in the middle of the night
and we thought that everyone would be asleep or too drunk to remember our show but we
packed that place to the max and had a great time.

Frk: If you could be someone else? Who would that be, what would you work or do?

Mange: I think I would like to be Hitler as a teenager and then I would kill myself!

Frk:  What are your plans for the future?

Mange: Right now we are writing new material and we hope to do a tour real soon.

Frk: There is a section in our magazine which we call "Crimes in the past" and every band has
to answer! Is there something criminal you did in the past?

Mange:  My cousin stole his fathers car for a joyride and smashed it pretty good in a tree then
we reported it stolen ourselves so his father could get the insurance money but hey I was 16.

Frk: Thank you very much for the interview and hope to see you soon in Germany to rock
    our cities!

Mange:  I wish the best to you.
