    the.biography:
You would think that after an extensive two-month tour of Europe, as well as years as one
of the most stalwart hardcore bands in hardcore with years of touring and playing, Walls of
Jericho would be ready for a much-deserved respite. You would be wrong. After playing their
first show in almost two years in the Detroit area this June, and then playing one of the strongest
sets at this year's Hellfest in Syracuse, NY, as well as headlining RiotFest in Belgium, being a
hardcore band on the road is the only way to go. "Touring is essential," relates singer Candace
Kucsulian, "we thrive on live performances, and feel it's important for people to see us live so
they can connect with us. Personally, it gets me fired up to feed off the energy of everyone who
is dancing and singing along, really getting into the show. " Especially after their almost two year
hiatus, Candace, along with guitarists Mike Hasty and Chris Rawson, bassist Aaron Ruby, and
drummer Alexi Rodriguez are all especially anxious to share their new-found zeal for their band
and the music from their new CD, "All Hail The Dead," to be released February 24 on Trustkill
Records. "All Hail The Dead" is their strongest release to date, a culmination of honest growth
and experience - a combination of ferocity, maturity, heartfelt emotion, technical brilliance, and
above all a desire to communicate something substantial, honest and positive to their devoted
fans in the midst of a music scene encumbered by vanity and fake corporate music concoctions
disguised as underground music with supposed street credibility.

Evidence of Walls of Jericho's significance and power can be summed up by Candace - "...
On this new record, I am thinking about things in a more sophisticated and personal way. These
new songs are more clear-cut. I have incorporated more of my personal life in this record, and I
really lay myself on the line. I share my heartaches and grief, what makes me tick and what
destroys me. I want to share - I want to reach people who feel like they're alone and give them
a voice that allows them to be strong and know they will survive. On this new record, I didn't
want to hold back no matter what." "All Hail The Dead," recorded at guitarist/recording
engineer Mike Hasty's Cloud City recording studio in Detroit, MI, was also a culmination of the
band's desire to bring their music to the level that fit their new found fervor and intensified
direction. Along with the addition of drummer Alexi Rodriguez (formerly of Catharsis), each
member of the band has found what has made Walls of Jericho a leading force in the
underground music scene - commitment to, and a unity with the family of hardcore, evidenced
by the devotion and sing-along intensity displayed by their loyal fans at venues around the world.
Candace is clear about the relevance of the band's blend of aggressive music and substantial
lyrics "What is important to me about our band's music is what is a common thread throughout
the hardcore scene. Hardcore's aggression has been appealing to me - because when I was
younger I was an angry kid, and I was having to deal with the emotions that life forces on you.
This band becomes a way for me to vent, even now. " See them play, and become part of the
    hardcore family's cathartic release.
